Men's Timeless Summer Styles

While it's hot out, style does not have to suffer. This summer, we are seeing the 90’s making a comeback as well as the “Ugly” trend. Yes, you read that correctly, the “Ugly” trend. If you find any jacket or shirt disdainful this year, chances are it's on purpose. Just keep in mind, the revival of the 90’s and the “Ugly” movement are temporary.

Enough about trends, let’s talk styles! Here's a list of this year's favorite styles that are current and timeless.

Deconstructed Suits

If you are looking for a suit this summer, you may want to consider a deconstructed or unconstructed suit. These suits use no canvas, have little to no padding, and are not lined. These purposefully lighter suits contain less heat and help you to stay cooler.

Bold Prints

The best way to add a pop of color to your wardrobe this summer is by throwing on a bold printed or Hawaiian shirt. These shirts may be a bit on the trendy side but they will likely be back next summer, and perhaps the following.

Bomber and Denim Jackets

Layering may be the last thing some guys want to do during the summer. Though that may be the case, let’s not forget that not every summer day is hot. For those cooler summer days or nights, throwing on a bomber or denim jacket is the next logical step. Layering is a quick and easy way to add depth to your outfit. Do this and watch the compliments flood in.

Chino Shorts

Chino shorts come in a variety of colors, and honestly, they are undeniably stylish. If you want to wear a neutral color shirt, wearing a pair of bold chino shorts will give you the pop of color you desire. Regardless of the colors you choose, just having these in your wardrobe will step up your style game. But by all means, PLEASE avoid cargo shorts and “jorts,” better known as jean shorts.

Black Jeans

Black jeans may be the most stylish pair of pants you can wear today. Avoid any faded wash and opt for a solid black. They are perfect for dressing up or keeping it casual.

White Low-Top Sneakers

If you want to look fresh and clean, make sure you have a pair of versatile low-top sneakers in white. They can be worn with anything from a tee shirt and shorts to a dapper suit.

Bold Color Loafers

Loafers are always a great way to spruce up a simple outfit. When wearing them in bold colors, it's an instant style statement as it's hard for people not to notice them. Bold colors are anything that is not black, brown, or navy.

Chukka or Chelsea Boots

A pair of chukka or Chelsea boots are the perfect bridge between dressy and casual. They can be worn with jeans, shorts, chinos, and even suits.

Aviators

You may be seeing many smaller framed sunglasses this summer due to the 90’s trend. But don’t be fooled. Aviators are classics that will always be considered stylish. If you favor plastic frames like the wayfarers, don’t hesitate. They are still great shades.

NATO Strap Watches

NATO strap watches are a staple watch that should be owned by every man. The lighter weight fabric used to make the strap is comfortable on your wrist and comes in a variety of colors that can be easily interchanged from watch to watch.
