MrBeast Experience at Resorts World Vegas Leaves Fans Disappointed

MrBeast Experience at Resorts World Vegas Leaves Fans Disappointed

In April 2025, Resorts World Las Vegas partnered with YouTube sensation MrBeast also known as  Jimmy Donaldson, to offer the "MrBeast Experience," a three-night hotel package promising exclusive merchandise and a chance to win a $10,000 cash voucher. Marketed as an immersive, once-in-a-lifetime event, it drew fans from across the country eager for games, surprises, and direct engagement with the MrBeast brand.

However, attendees quickly voiced their dissatisfaction after the April 13-15 show. Many reported that the experience lacked the promised engagement and excitement. Complaints ranged from underwhelming merchandise to a general absence of the interactive elements fans expected from a MrBeast event.

“It should have been like mini-games, meet and greets, photo ops, special drinks, and things,” Theresa Metta, who traveled to Las Vegas with her mother said. “Unfortunately, we didn’t get any of that.”

Guests were also each promised a mystery bag and camped in their hotel rooms for 24 hours or more awaiting a surprise. Many, including Metta, complained about the contents of the mystery bag. The surprise turned out to be ill fitting clothes and chocolates.

“If you go to the MrBeast store right now, all this stuff is on clearance for $9. We were told we’d get exclusive merch. Obviously, that’s not the case.”

The TikTok page @RandomRecess has been documenting the whole three-day event. On Day 2, they reported, “So far nothing but a box of chocolates. No communication and no activations.” On Day 3, many of the attendees had a group meeting with Resorts World executives and videos of frustrated people have been posted to TikTok.

Some guests have since sought refunds approximately $1,000  per attendee, expressing that the event did not meet their expectations.

MrBeast is one of the biggest creators online, with more than 317 million subscribers on YouTube. When the event was announced in January, President and CEO of MrBeast Jeffrey Housenbold, “We are always looking for ways to give back to our fans and create unforgettable experiences. Partnering with Resorts World Las Vegas allows us to kick off 2025 in true MrBeast fashion—combining fun, surprise, and generosity. “

This isn't the first time MrBeast's ventures have faced scrutiny. His ambitious "Beast Games" reality competition, filmed in Las Vegas, previously drew criticism over safety concerns and logistical issues. Contestants reported inadequate access to essentials like food and water, and some sustained injuries during production. These incidents have raised questions about the planning and execution of large-scale events associated with the YouTube star.

In response to the backlash from the Resorts World event, MrBeast has acknowledged the concerns and promised to make amends. MrBeast called out Las Vegas hotel Resorts World for the disappointing “experience”.

MrBeast tweeted to a fan on Tuesday, “Hey! This definitely isn’t the experience we hoped they’d deliver. My team’s already on it—I’d love to personally make it up to you and anyone else by inviting everybody affected to tour my actual studio! Can’t wait to meet you all and my team is reaching out to everyone :D”

He stated that efforts are underway to address the issues and ensure future events meet fan expectations.
