Memorable Moments at the Vegas Food and Wine Festival
The Las Vegas Food & Wine Festival held earlier this month on October 5-9, 2022 was a celebration of life. Delicious tastings offered by local restaurants and winemakers were a feast for the senses.
The event had an outdoors cocktail party vibe and featured local and world renowned chefs offering delicacies from Wagyu to Toro. Attendees feasted on an array of decorative foods and tasty spirits against the backdrop of the casually elevated Tivoli Village of Summerlin, NV.
The food and wine festival was produced by entrepreneur Alan Semsar and his LA-based marketing company, Barcelona Enterprises. One of the highlights was a Blue Fin fillet demonstration by Chef Kentaro Uechi, son of famed Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi and heir to the Katsuya Group. The captivating live demo resulted in stunning Blue Fin tastings and our absolute favorite, Toro aka fatty tuna, that tasted like butter.
Besides the samplings at Tivoli Village, the festival also included sit-down dinners hosted by James Beard recipient and Chef Todd English at his Olives Restaurant at the Virgin Hotel.
Vegas locals’ favorite Echo & Rig was also there to share their shucking skills and incredibly fresh Kushi oysters.
The most memorable bite belonged to Scotch 80 Prime at The Palms. Chef Marty Lopez and his team spoiled attendees with truffle Wagyu with caviar and gold leaf. They were an absolute indulgence and melted in your mouth.
The flavorful tastings were accompanied by refreshingly sweet AIX Rosé, rich and robust Malbec from Daou Vineyards and smooth Japanese whisky by Tenjaku.
